Consequences with use of Euro LG G3 in UK?

Hi All

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but I'd really appreciate some advice if possible. I've tried to do as much research as I can, but I've not managed to find a sure-fire answer.

I'm looking to get a D855 LG G3 and have been told the firmware version is V20a-EUR-XX and the Android version is 5.0. I think this may be a Polish firmware version, correct me if I'm wrong?

I'm also located in the UK and was wondering what drawbacks/issues there would be with getting the above? Is it just a case of flashing UK firmware on to the phone? Will I receive the appropriate updates etc?

I have a D855 G3 bought two months ago via a UK company who sourced it from France. Mine is unlocked on Three. I got the 20e update two weeks ago and two days ago got the "Google patch" which pushed it up to 20f.

Thanks Steve. So nothing out of the ordinary functionality wise, just may be differences in when updates are pushed to the region the phone came from?

Looking at the LG update schedule both Polish versions updated to 29f on 31/12/2014. I downloaded the 20e version using The LG support software and the 29f (12Mb) came OTA.

Correction. There are six suffix codes for the Polish version. Three have been updated to 29f and the other three are on 20e.

I bought my g3 outright from a uk company. Got lollipop and google patch recently and see no issues. Not sure what the codes mean but mine is:

V20f-EUR-XX

Is this a uk phone or otherwise? Can you tell?

Thanks for the info guys, been really helpful. So from the looks of it there isn't much of a consequence with getting a Euro phone for use in the UK.

-steveathome: I think the suffix for the phone would be 'POL' being the 32GB version, which was updated to 20f on 31/12/2014, so good news.
