Considering jumping ship...

Had the pixel and loved it but found reasons to return it in order to get another phone. Got the 6t. Great phone but couple things I didn't like we're the fingerprint sensor wasn't as fast. Speaker was low and the vibration motor is junk. But the software was excellent. Camera was nice but pixel is better.

Ended up getting the note 9. After 3 months now I'm over it. I don't like the new update with OneUi. So I ordered a new pixel 3xl. See how it goes the second go around once it arrives.

What was the reason you gave up the pixel 3 in the beginning?

Main reason was the ram issue I was having in the beginning. Apps constantly had to be reloaded. Other than that it was really nitpicking in order to justify switching phones yet again to feed my obsession lol.

Lol..
So when does it arrive?

Part of the problem is that switching or upgrading doesn't get you much....just different. I'm a yearly upgrader but sometimes I try something in between. Haven't switched in between since the Pixel 2XL. No desire to go back to Moto or LG and Samsung doesn't do anything for me. I'll probably move from the 3XL to the 4.

Tried a photo comparison last night, and the simcard is going in...

The Pixel...night and day difference in the camera, especially in low light

I have to eat my words...

I decided I didn't give the 6t a far shake, so I downloaded a gcam mod which has brought things a lot closer, and have been loving the experience.

Oxygen OS is great!

Yeah you can get close with the Gcam mod but Google has a secondary chip dedicated to it's processing. You would mostly notice the difference in shots that require a lot of processing as in modes that combine many frames. It might also affect processing speed. Having said all that....if you can't tell the difference, does it matter?

Yeah send like the 6T is a better performer than Google's own phone. People who use the 6T can just download the Gcam app and the camera is almost as good as the Pixels.

But then you get the better hardware and faster performance of the 6T as well. MKBHD has just made a video about it and shows the laggy Pixel 3, which is what I'm experiencing.

Quite embarrassing performance for Google's own phone.
