Considering tmobile

This is true I just thought it would be easier to try a prepaid phone. I did not want to have to worry about the deposit.

A lot depends on where you work and live coverage wise. Honestly take advantage of test drive. They will send you a 5S to use for a week with unlimited data. You could then test everywhere with the iPhone rather than the windows phone. If it does good then you'll know the higher end androids will be as good or better because iPhone 5S is known for having weaker cell reception.

The iPhone 5s don't have the band 12 so if you happen to live in the what half dozen cities that have it you'll never know.

I find Apple radios the best imo

OK.... That just something they will have to take into account. Using an iPhone that cost you out of pocket is a huge benefit. Its a great step to take.

Do you suggest they buy one of the 5 phones with compatible with T-Mobile s band 12 just to test it?

It would cost you $55 for the restocking fee or whatever it is with t-mobile and whatever part of the service you use. I would say that's the easiest way to find out. Though not the cheapest. If your an android fan ( I'm guessing since your here ...) and you can afford a phone $700 out of pocket the nexus 6 is unlocked so you can go on any network.

I won't disagree because if need be I would go that route. I would do test drive first because its free and if the results are positive the user saves money. If band 12 does play a role, that's just a bonus.

I am testing now as I got a pay as you go phone cheep to test and i am very pleased at this time. I get 4g at home and the same sometimes better than verizon. may make the move but got more testing. I am very impressed with the service so far. I am in a small town as well or relatively small anyway. Up to this point it has been very well as well as Verizon Wireless. And I am NOT in a big city either. Amazing

I have been using my T-MOBILE Windows phone more and more to test reception. And even without the 700Mhrtz band. It is doing well.
How does everyone else do inside buildings, in basements, etc?

I was very close to pulling the trigger and jumping from Verizon to Tmobile. But I was at a conference in Miami last week, and the Tmobile users had zero reception in the conference center.

Also, one person staying at the same hotel as I was, 5 miles away, had no service in the hotel, and even outside. He also told me of all the trouble he had with his Note 4 getting decent coverage while travelling.

That would be totally unacceptable for me.
Guess I will stick with Verizon.

Good choice. As much as I like what t-mobile is doing they just aren't there on the coverage yet.

Atleast where i am they have no problem and this is a smaller city. The guy i work with has them and he has not had any problem. I have seen some places where Verizon is better like in buildings.

All i can say is i would not pay Vz for 30 gigs. I am with them with 1 gig. I think Tmo can save the poster alot of money each month. How do you use 30 gigs anyway? Did you go to Tmo? Verizon data plans are a joke.

most important question is reception on where you live. I just switched mother in law from vz > tmobile in bay area, ca. and the lesser reception i the areas she uses the phone was worse enough to go back to verizon despite the large price premium. for me, i love tmobile, and it works great in the areas I use it.

The problem for me, is I travel alot. I don't know where I will be next month. The Miami and New York City experience I had with my lowly Nokia 925 the last 2 weeks, and talking to other T-Mobile users, tells me to stick with Verizon for now. It always works, but you pay premium for it.
