I have been rooted and running superclean with a non-voodoo kernel for a while now and I am thinking of trying a voodoo kernel. I have been reading up and it doesn?t sound that difficult to load a voodoo kernel. I just want to make sure I understand what I am doing before I try it. So I have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer.

1)Are these the correct steps for loading a voodoo kernel through CWM?
Load zip file
Enable lag fix
Reboot phone
Do I need to clear the caches before loading the zip file?
2)I have a voodoo folder on the root of my memory card, do I need to do anything with this before I load a voodoo kernel? I think this folder was created when I loaded Droixcon all in one odin superclean package.
3)What will happen if I don?t enable lag fix and reboot the phone once a voodoo kernel is loaded?
4)If I want to go back to a non-voodoo kernel do I just disable the lag fix then load the non-voodoo kernel? I had read that once you disable the lag fix that CWM will no longer work and you have to reload it. Is this still true on CWM all 3_30 and CWM3.x?
5)Are there any disadvantages to loading a voodoo kernel?

Voodoo kernels enable lagfix on their own but no harm in enabling it after flashing. The only worry with voodoo is if you flash a non voodoo over it WITHOUT disabling. Otherwise you are good to go with the steps you have . I have always cleared cache before flashing anything and, no, you don't need to do anything with the voodoo folder.

Looks good, but you forgot the most important step...BACKUP!

Seriously though, voodoo is pretty straight forward and it looks like you got a handle on it. You will be glad you did it :)

I'll agree, I finally enabled lagfix and my phone went from a 983 quadrant score to 1600 ( on a regular basis) I've seen as high as a 1850... And it performs as such as well. This is with a 1.2g overlock, -50 from 100-1200 runs like a champ! Titanium Backup is your friend, and I would also reccomend a nandroid backup in CWM.
