Constant alert noise

Had this happening to my and my husband's phone constantly, the guy at Telstra just did the following: Go to settings and type in NFC then turn that to off. It seems to do with bank cards, smartriders etc that you have inside pockets of phone cover or put next to these cards or you paywave etc from you phone.

My Moto 2020 phone started driving me crazy w/ frequent notification sounds. Attempted some of the above fixes, w/o a solution.
Accidentally discovered that under the advanced Sounds settings that "Charging sounds and vibration" was enabled. Disabled this and the notification sounds stopped!! And yes, my phone was charging when this happened.
