I am constantly getting phone calls from a 408 number in California. Sometimes it only rings once. Other times I answer and they are asking for someone I have never heard of. This never happened withy number on T-Mobile. If you try calling the number back they is nothing on the other end.

I get 4 or 5 of these calls a day, and they start at 8am on the weekends!

Anyone else having this issue?

You should set up to block the number in your phone. Dependant on your handset as there are different options to do this.

Old owner of the phone number... maybe. Not much information on how long you have had the phone number. It really is not a Project Fi issue. It's an issue with reissuing phone numbers, I assume since again we don't have much information on how long you have had the number.

I'll agree it isn't an issue with the carrier. A couple of years ago, I had to get a new number on T-Mobile (gave my old number, along with my grandfathered plan, to an adult daughter). After two years I'm still getting calls for what I assume is a previous owner of the number; worse is she still appears to have it listed as her current number in some places.

Beyond that, there are the spam type of calls I've gotten on T-Mobile -- and from what I can tell everyone is getting some of those. These folks just autodial every possible number and see what numbers they can get answers from. What really bothers me is that apparently enough people use whatever service these calls are offering to make it worth their time to keep cold calling every number.

I've had this number for at least 10 years...and no issues.

I just answered a call and they are looking for some lady and I asked what number they are trying to reach and the lady said a number that is not even close to mine...

No, its a fi thing. Do a Google search of that number and you will see numerous people get it. I just blocked it and it seemed to work. (Add it to your contacts and then block it)

I contacted Google and they had me remove my sim and clear the cache and clear the data on the Fi app. So far none of these calls!
