contact list problem

hi im new to samsung galaxy s3.. my phone contact is displaying only the names but not displaying the photo near each contact..i have attached a screen shot of my contact list.. how can i change this?

I know this was over a year ago but did you ever figure out how to get your photos back. After my recent update to 4.4.2 I lost my photo displays on the contacts and my now the space is very narrow driving me nuts. Any help would be great.
