Contact Storage

Is there anyway to make it where all contacts that I create on my phone are automatically stored to my google account and not my phone?

I believe they automatically sync to both places, period. That said, I am a Droid newbie and am not positive.

They are supposed to sync automatically. From what it looks like, even when I'm forcing the sync it isn't happening.

My wife was having data problems last night even though she had a data connection. Turned out it had something to do with the wireless network connection. After I turn wireless off\on and everything resolved.

Well I'm doing a factory reset on the phone and hopefully that will correct the problem. None of the contacts that I have added to my phone have synced with my google contacts. I'm not sure what's up with it. They sync just fine with the Incredible, but not on the Droid 2. Something is up with the software I think.
