Contacts app does not sync with Facebook Messenger

In the Note8 I wanted to get my Facebook Messenger contacts into Note8 native Contacts app. I set the syncing and it says the sync was done but no Messenger contacts appear in the Contact app. Is it an error or else how to achieve my goal?

I believe it only syncs one way.
