Contacts doubled and trippled??

I have tried messing around with some settings, but nothing I have found fixes this. Anybody seeing the same thing?

If you have facebook (or any other social app), try uninstalling it, reboot and see if it goes away.

Merge Duplicate Contacts
If you end up with duplicate Gmail contacts, merge them:
• Use your PC to go to http://mail.google.com/ and log in. Click Contact then click More then Find and Merge duplicates.
Contacts may not automatically link to your Facebook or Twitter contacts if the spelling is different. To join manually:
• On your phone: Tap Contacts (People) and long-press the contact then Join contact. Select the contact to be joined.

I think I got it now! Thanks! Merged my G-mail contacts and then un-checked the Verizon sync in customize contacts to display.

I don't have this problem, but ICS 4.0 has merged my twotter contacts into my google contacts! I DO NOT WANT THIS showing up when I am looking for phone numbers and ppl I actually know. Driving me crazy, how do I get rid of this?! Anyone know?

It shouldn't have actually merged them, it just pulls their info into their contact card so it's all in one place. Turn off contact sync in Twitter.
