Contacts - last name first on S3

I’m running 4.3 on my Galaxy S3. I have my contacts set for last name first in my Google account (on my pc). My android (contact list on cell) does show it the same way (good).

However, when I access my contacts on my S3 and choose "favorites" (which are the starred names" they come up first name first.

I’ve researched this and I haven't found a way to keep the favorites - last name first.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'll agree with you that there doesn't appear to be a way to change that particular view to show by last name first. Seems like an oversight on the part of their design/QA teams.

Feel free to email Samsung Customer Service with a complaint - that's about the only recourse that we have. You could look for a 3rd party solution, but I'm afraid I can't make a recommendation.
