Hi - Android noob here.

Can anyone explain why all of my Gmail contacts don't show up in the people app? If I start typing the name it will come up, but I have a few that aren't listed in the people app when I scroll through it. When I select 'view' and uncheck phone, I only see my own contact card, no Gmail contacts at all. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks

Scott

In the "View" screen, I see these options:

"Only contacts with phone numbers", "Google ()", "Show auto Gmail contacts", and "Phone ()", now when I select only "Phone()", I get the situation you described where only my contact card comes up, but when I select "Google()", all of them show up in the People app.

Do you have the "Google()" option checked? Also try checking the "Show auto Gmail contacts", when I selected and unselected it some of my Gmail contacts disappeared.

I have the Google optioon checked. If I check show auto gmail contacts and phone I see evrything. If I uncheck show auto gmail contacts I lose a few. As of a couple of minutes ago, I see a lot more of my contacts if I only have google checked. It looks like it might just be a weird syncing issue. I've had the phone for a couple of weeks and this had been a constant issue. This morning I was trying to figure out what was going on and I went to my online gmail account and apparently did something that appears to have fixed it for the most part.

Thanks for getting back to me.
