Contacts not syncing and google account not an option???

[Android Central Question]

I am in hell. I noticed today that my google contacts have not synced since I got my new Note 8 on Sept 15. I tried to manually sync and I does nothing. So I removed the Google account and re added it and now google is not even an option in my contacts. When I look at the accounts to sync, google is not there at all, when I choose Contacts to display google is not an options.
BUT when I try to add a google account it says it is already on the device. HELP!!!

I have gone into settings, cloud and accounts, google, the list of items to sync does not include contacts. Also now, it is also not syncing the calendar.

I have also tried going into contacts and no google options are present. Usually you choose where to save contacts or what contacts to view and you can choose google, but in this case google is not an option and I can not add it.
