Contacts/Phone/Messages displaying incorrect gmail account contacts

Hi Team

Just go the new Samsung S7 Edge about a week ago love it, so many good things we should have had ages ago!!!

So I have 9 gmail accounts on my phone mostly for gaming. 1 of the accounts (the first one on the list) is my brothers. The problem is I have gone into settings/accounts/google and unsync'd all of them except my email account.

However, it displays all the contacts from all the accounts. I tried to fix this in the contact/more/settings/contacts to display - and now the contacts displays correctly. But, if I call someone, text, receive a call it displays the names how my brother entered them on his phone.

This is really frustrating. Is there a fix?

Welcome to Android Central! If you don't have any important contacts saved to the Phone account (i.e., all of your contacts are in your Google Contacts), then try going to the App Manager, select Contact Storage, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Do the same for the Contacts app. Now open Contacts again, and wait for it to sync. Does it only show your contacts?

When I clear the data and cache it automatically defaults to display all Google accounts again. I change it and wait and nothing happens.

I can make it display only the right Google contacts in the contacts app. But as soon as I make a call your use messages it displays the the incorrect Google account details

Have you tried to unlink your contacts? You might have contacts that's linked to google and Samsung causing this. Go through contacts and unlink them.
