When i send an email, for example, to an ad on craigslist, why does that email address become one of my contacts automatically?

I also sent an email to a dev, and that saved also. Any tips?

Because an android phone will sync automatically with gmail. And gmail automatically saves a gmail email to your address book. Therefore, your contact will automatically become huge. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a way to turn off this "feature" through your gmail account on the computer. I would look either in the normal settings or in Google Labs.

Thanks - it wasn't doing this on my Inc2 but there was a general mail settings that i switched off.

Best bet is to create a group on gmail with all of your real contacts and then on your phone have it only sync that group. Anytime you add another contact just add it to that group and any other groups you want to add it to. For example I have a group "My Contacts" that syncs to my phone, but within that group I have a "Friends" group, "Family," etc.

Gmail defaults to automatically save every email address that you ever correspond with. This can be changed in the settings on your computer
