contacts vanishing...

Have Core Prime, about 5 mo old. I have contacts regularly disappearing, no known pattern-but 100 or so will stay, the other 3-400 disappear. I have them backed up, so it takes a minute or so to restore them, but still very annoying. Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks.

Are the contacts saved to your Google account, Samsung account, or local Phone account?
