Contacts via outlook to phone to gmail

Hello,
Using a rooted HTC Thunderbolt and need help to resolve a contact syncing issue.

I am using Enhanced Email for email/contacts/calendar. It works perfect to bring in my contacts to the "people" app that came to my phone.

I would like the same contacts to also automatically go into gmail without having to do a manual file download from outlook and upload to gmail

To Sum it up:
How can I input a new contact into my exchange/outlook which goes to my phone ("people app") and then have it automatically go to "gmail (contacts)"

Please advise.

Have you attempted to set up Gmail/Google ActiveSync for your Contacts? Or, Gmail Contacts Sync? Last I heard, it is acceptable to have two ActiveSync/Exchange accounts. ActiveSyc/Exchange will work for Gmail.

I haven't tried this, but it sounds reasonable.

Both exchange and gmail "contact" sync are activated. But the address book on my phone doesn't go to Gmail. Only goes to Exchange.

I have a PC on Exchange that syncs my Exchange contacts and calender (if I wish) to/from Gmail. basically, My home PC is synced to Gmail. My work PC is synced to Gmail and Exchange. So if I edit or add a contact on my phone, the change appears on my home PC and my exchange server.

To do this I had to purchase Companionlink. I bit expensive, but it works well.
