Contacts2.db unable to grant a connection

Recently I discovered an issue with my device where my contacts, messaging, and dialer would "hang" (black screen then force close). I obtained a logcat from it and saw that my phone is having problems reading the contacts. Flr example, it says "contacts2.db unable to grant a connection to thread 83". I've tried full wipes, reflashing, clearing contacts data, safe mode, etc. I'm not sure what else I can do, any help is appreciated. Oh and the only way for me to fix the issue is to reboot or kill the contacts app using task manager, the issue reappears after a few minutes.

Anyone? My last resort is relocking the bootloader and running the ruu then request a new phone. It won't have root but at least it'll be working
