Android Central, dragging through the Play store, many different forums and in worst case; Google search.

Of course, through G+, forums such as Android Central, reading reviews online and through word of mouth (got a lot of friends sporting an Android device!). I also install them on my own and test them out as much as possible to get the best out of the app I installed. So it is a conglomerate of everything! lol

Sometimes all out research on google for the "best android app that does ??". I get a lot of app ideas from the Android blogs.

I have a tendency to check out the app reviews on Android Central, or just go fishing through the Play Store to see if anything catches my fancy.

I usually do a search in the browser version of the play store for tab, or tablet then troll the results for the good ones.

Already a lot of good suggestions.
- Search play store using topic of interest
- Look for high star rating of 4+
- Read review comments of others for this app
- Google for Top 10 or 25 apps
- Brose magazines articles on Apps or buy a book on Apps
- I am lucky to have a club w/125 members and regularly ask them to talk to group about their favorite apps.
- Definitely visit a lot of Android sites and Blogs. Even post questions as Android users are a friendly helpful bunch.
- Daily visit to Android Central and find items like this contest
- Even look for top iOS apps as Android has similar offerings

In summary, use "Share My Apps" App to let your family or friends know what Apps you use. One neat feature of this App is each app is hyperlinked to the Play Store which means finding the app is one click away.

Good Luck, Frank

I usually think of some i need on my phone and hope that there is no app for that need so I can try to design and make some money... Yeah, never works, just bought 2 singing warmups and lessons app today...

Thanks for the giveaway!

Most Apps I get come from reading reviews on AC - and the rebuttal comments that follow - or from the multitude of:
"What are the Must Have APPS for the Nexus 7?" posts in the AC Forums

I've tried the Playstore, but it doesn't give me an easy way to tell if it will run on my tablet. (Touchpad with Cyanogenmod)

always reviews (esp. AC of course!) and personal recommendations from friends and co-workers. Browsing the play store is a waste of time.
