Today I went on a testing binge
Hi Everyone,
Today I took a "personal day off" and hit the stores of all 4 major carriers -- Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint.
I had the advantage of working in mid-town Manhattan so it was easy. I just couldn't get enough time at work to go to the stores and try out the android phones; ah the life of a software developer. It is one thing to read the reviews and another to play with the phone and appreciate (or dis it), so glad I did.
I am an existing T-Mobile customer and have leaned toward staying with them because they are less expensive; ah once again, the life of a software developer...
I did not pull the trigger and buy and I'm glad I did not because when I got home and went to this web site (at 4pm, not now 9pm) it gave me reason to wait...
I really liked the myTouch 4G but wished it had the Amoled screen of the Samsung that I tested next to it. So, I am pleased to learn about Nexus S Amoled. Furthermore after playing with each carriers phones I realize a bigger screen has the definite advantage of not straining the eyes.
myTouch 4G was quite fast, faster at loading menus than the Droid X (but same as Droid Incredible) -- could be because of demo phone. An even faster phone is welcome.
myTouch 4G was a touch (too) heavy but less likely to be dropped that way.
The thing is, I keep waiting and waiting for the right phone and the right data plan with. I have had my Blackberry for 33 months now. I guess I can wait another 10-14 days...
Any idea what the pricing will be? myTouch 4G at $199 with 2-for-1 deal is, well, better than paying $199 for 2 phones.
Peace, Chris
