Continuous spinning sync icon in status bar

I am running MeanBean_3.09 and after flashing sticky settings the spinning sync icon seems to just want to hang out in my status bar. I just got into root access and custom ROMs about 4 months ago so I'm definitely a rookie. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Have you tried turning automatic sync off in the phone's settings?

Yes. Sync icon is still there. I had auto sync active before I installed the sticky settings and It worked fine. It would sync from time to time but very quickly then go away. I definitely like using auto sync.
