Contract Buyout still an option?

Are people still able to buyout their contract with Sprint since the Terms of Service switch, or has that ended?

I've been with Sprint for over 6 years, and my next upgrade isn't for almost a year. I don't want to pay an ETF if possible to upgrade etc. Wondered if people were still having luck buying out their contract?

Bought my gf's out this weekend. She wasn't up until October. Cost, $70. We went to Verizon and they knocked the $70 off a new phone with them when we signed up.

I don't know about the "regular" ETF, but if you do that contract buyout (which ends this week), then you're immediately eligable for an upgrade.

Posted this in the other similar thread.

Called Sprint today (*2 on your phone).
Request Account Services when you call.

As I had already talked to them about the Upgrade Buy Out, they made the adjustments to my account.
My prior upgrade date was Sept 1st and was quoted $65.00 to buy out the remaining time.
They corrected that and will only charge me $45.00 to do it.
It will be charged on my next bill.
It takes 24-48 hours for it to kick in.
Easy peasy.

If you want to do this, it never hurts to ask.

Now I can get the Galaxy Nexus when it comes out on April 22nd. :D

I recommend this to anyone thinking about it.

Mav.

I did it last week by calling retentions, cost me $165 since I wasn't due for an upgrade until July 2013, beats paying full price for the new EVO in May. Didn't have to go to a corporate store and I believe the program is running semi-indefinitely right now despite reports that it'd expire on the 14th. Anyone try it today or at any point after this post, let us know if it's still running! It would've cost me $125 in (late) july but I didn't wanna risk it and I knew I'd get impatient about upgrading anyway, wasn't gonna hold out all summer.
