Sorry if this was posted before.
Is there a way to control your camera on your phone with the Gear S?
Like put your phone down on table and sit across from it, and view what your going to take picture of on your Gear S and control everything like from your Gear S?

Thanks in advance

Yes there is an app that does exactly that. I believe it's called Remote Camera or Camera Remote for $2 if I remember correctly. It works great. There's another one I haven't tried that seems to do the same thing called Look Behind.

UPDATE: Just got a chance to double check the app name:
Phone Camera Remote by Leonid Tsarev for $1.06

Look behind actually shows live video from your cameras. I use this when away from my desk at work or something. I don't think you can take pics with it unless I am missing something.

DonShock I bought Phone camera, but don't know how to load it on my gear s. Any help on this matter?

Thanks for all your help

The Gear S uses Samsung's Tizen OS, not Google's Android Wear OS. So you can't get apps from the Play store for it. You need to use Samsung's Gear App store to get your apps.

When you first set up your Gear S you should be instructed to install the Samsung Gear Manager app on your phone. Once that is done, when you open the Gear app there should be a Samsung Gear Apps selection. When you purchase the app from within Samsung's Gear App store it should install on your Gear S. If not, check the Purchased tab on the drop down menu and you should have the option to install it.

Is your phone an S6? Other people have mentioned a glitch where some apps aren't shown as available on the Gear App store and it's somehow tied to the store not recognizing the S6 properly.

Look for it in Gear Applications. It's only $0.99 now. Got mixed reviews, but, generally decent.

In the gear store?
Do a search for remote camera. This is what appeared for me on the Samsung Gear app store
