Converting a Phone to HTPC

[Android Central Question]

I have a Nvidia Shield, but preordered the Galaxy S10+. When I get it, I was thinking about converting my Note 8 into a media center device. I see ran some benchmarks, and it seems to come out ahead of the Shield. I have done some research on the HDMI hubs, and I am having a hard time finding certainty. Some of them don't recommend use with smartphones. Others in the reviews complain of audio trouble with HDMI or the Ethernet port of the hub not working on Android. Does anyone here do this? Can you recommend a hub with HDMI and Ethernet that you can confirm both work with Android... And the power feeding the hub be enough to also keep a smartphone charged? Basically, the phone would then be charged all the time. Thank you.
