Is it possible? I like the S 2.3 launcher because its smoother than the launcher we have. I posted in the S forums since it has to do with you guys. Any possibilities?

In theory all you need to do is pull the launcher from hydro and install on the phone. Place it on the sdcard, make sure you have non market apps enabled, and use a file explorer to install. I could create a flash able version, but would rather not do so as that modded apk is not mine. Perhaps drew will do so or allow it.

You should just be able to install it like any other launcher. ROM should not matter.

Is it actually signed for install? I would think like most system apps you would have to drop it directly into system/app and reboot (it's dependent on how the apk is signed to my understanding but I really need to brush up on app functionality).

Try this
Download hydro launcher
Download root browser lite
Look at permissions on stock launcher
Move hydro launcher to system /app and give the exact same permissions as stock launcher
Reboot

TheKravens cm7.2. 3.7
amphetimines
kodev ics theme
787 MHz
smartassV2

Just a thought, you could try pulling the libs from the apk and dropping them in the rom within system/lib/

I had to do that to get HTC_ime to work for danteRom

Guess I was wrong, sorry guys about the libs. I was just spitballing at the time trying to help figure this out. I am at a loss right now on what is wrong here.
