Copy paste help

Well the problem started again. Tried copying a tracking number from gmail to paste in my package tracking app. When I long pressed in the tracking number field, it pasted an email address I copied a few minutes earlier. Tried three times with the same result.

Do I really need to go through the cache clearing exercise daily????? Something is not right.

I have not experienced this issue even once so I'm surprised you're having so many issues. I really the to say this but did you try a factory reset?

I did but will try again. Need to back up my device. Love the way my pages are set up

What do you mean back it up? Are you rooted and could that be an issue? Usually a reset is only good if you start from scratch. Going off a back up will result in the same problems.

I have assumed somehow I simply am using copy and paste incorrectly because I can never consistently get copy and paste to work consistently either. I have the same sort of problem that after copying text, the paste feature often reverts to the previously copied text. Perhaps it is user error, but I have tried to be consistent.

I doubt it is user error. I hope the next update fixes this issue.

Not rooted.

Was hoping to restore apps after reset. Seems quicker to me. But perhaps you are right.

Update:

My copy / paste issues have gotten worse. Instead of not being able to paste newly copied text, my device will not even display the copy or paste option when log pressing in a text field. Cannot paste into an email or any other app.

Tried rebooting the phone but the problem persists.

Is this a hardware issue? It appears to be software...
