Copying text in S note

The primary reason i purchased the note 8 is for note taking and marking up pdf journal articles. I tried a few different apps and found that importing the pdfs into s note gave me the most functionality for my needs. The problem I'm having is that when I click plus draw through a words to copy to clipboard nothing happen. Sometimes I am successful in other apps, sometimes not. Anyone else having this problem?
