FWIW I was battering Google Now on the motorway yesterday, it was bloody fantastic. I didn't realise it would reply to WhatsApp messages, nor would it give me the ability to flick back to Waze without having to touch my phone. Speaking messages is so much safer and more accurate than I could ever consider, even with my broad Salfordian accent.

Yes that is what I absolutely love about using voice typing you can voice type to anything in that text box. It's great!and with the Google now cards, that really keep you up to date on your life. As long as you use it correctly.

Just to let you know, I tried this last night without issue. It unlocked the phone and opened the app.

Well, like I said already, whenever I've used it in the past with the newer Google Search app, it doesn't override the pin lock screen, and it certainly doesn't give me search results for what I'm asking. Everything times out. I'll include a screenshot of what I'm talking about to make it better understood. Thanks for the input though.

There's a before and after as to the Google Search app older version and updated version. Takes up more running memory to for some reason.

Unsure what the beef is, perhaps contacting Google via the mail link in the app from the PlayStore might help? I'm really at a loss as to how to help further

No I understand, and thanks for your help so far I really do! I have call them Google Customer Service in the port of the issue with the new world Google Search app. They said they will let their developers know which really doesn't mean too much unfortunately but that is what it is at this point.
