Corner of the screen is loose

I have just begun having this issue. Bottom left, Home button corner. The glass is sticking up far enough to catch my fingernail on it and can be pushed in just like everyone else is reporting. Hardware version 0002.

I'm very torn. I love my Evo but its slowly becoming that the only advantage it has over my Pre (at least for me personally) is screen size.

I think HTC is full of it as they told me to "check with Sprint and see what they have to say "....really, really? Lol

Okay, well I got a call from HTC regarding this issue. They are calling everyone who has had this issue with the screen. He wants pictures and other info about your phone to see if they can narrow it down to possibly a bad built batch from a certain date frame, or if it's just a overall bad design..

A interesting thing one of my buddies told me was, he doesn't have any issues with his phone, his is hardware version 0003, mine is a 0002. I'm curious to know if this has anything to do with what we are going through.

I'm going to make a new thread to reflect a poll for that question, and just chime in and let me know if you have 0002 or 0003 hardware versions. Thanks guys!

Not a fix for me, but thanks anyway

IT'S A VERY SIMPLE FIX, This topic was brought up on another forum and it was decided that the screws need to be tightened on some handsets. It seems some left the factory with screws not fully tightened this is also causing some of the bottom end light leaks as well. You will see the tiny black screws in each corner once the battery cover is removed. I think you can buy these special star drivers at Radio Shack or just take the handset in to a Sprint service center for tightening.

I notice that on mine on the bottom right corner beneath the search button there's a little light leakage, and if I press on that corner, the leakage stops, so it's probably raised a bit, but I don't foresee the screen coming off or anything - everything is working great. Besides, I got mine off Craigslist so I don't think I could bring it back to Sprint for a new one anyway.

Getting better?

maybe it's just my imagination... or maybe just wishful thinking... but i tightened the screws a couple of days ago and like others it didn't really help at all. but i've been keeping an eye on the bottom of my screen since then and it appears to be getting better.

when i first started looking into this problem, my screen was lifting up quite a bit. i could almost get my fingernail under it. and i'm looking at it right now and, i haven't pushed it down at all today and it's sitting almost flush with the bezel.

maybe tightening the screws helped, or maybe the adhesive is working better now. i don't know, but i'm feeling better about the way that the bottom of my screen looks now. anyone else seeing anything like this or am i just going crazy?

Hi I'm new, mine is hardware version 0003 and it's doing this. I can see the screen go up and down in the lower left corner if I hold it and apply pressure correctly. When it's stationary and in a dark room I can see leakage below the home and menu buttons. I've had this phone for a week now. I love it but this is kind of annoying. I'm going to be taking it into the sprint store soon for a replacement.

HTC has acknowledged the problem and will make adjustments in the assembly line for future EVOs... I'm returning my EVO and waiting for the Samsung Intercept to come out in July 11th.... it'll have the faster Hummingbird Processor (4x graphics power than the EVO), 4" SuperAMOLED screen, and a 5 row QWERTY keyboard, along with the front facing camera and 5 megapixel camera with LED flash

Just to weigh in... Build 0004, same issue. Bought mine from Best Buy 5 days ago (Thursday, March 31). I will be going back this weekend to ask about this.

I am too feeling screen loose from top right corner of new Galaxy J5. But I am not having problem with this. Anyhow, if there's a solution, please reply.
