Several times throughout the day random emails that I previously deleted will pop up in my inbox. Regardless of how many times I delete one of the emails that returns it continues to come back into the inbox the next time my email syncs. I tried swiping it to delete it, longpress and then hit delete and I've tried to manually move it to the trash but it always comes back. I have to remove the account and then reinstall it in order to get it to disappear.
Here's a few other things;
I opened my exhange email on another computer and when I delete an email it immediately moves it on the Exchange server. For the emails that keep popping up, when I look at the Exchange server it shows them in the deleted folder. So I've completely ruled out any sort of issue with my works email server and also confirmed it with my IT department.
I've tried to master reset the phone and the problem still exists.
I called Samsung and they didn't help either. They told me that I would need to clear my email cache which I did and the problem still continued. they told me that it could also be a third party app that is causing the issue so I performed a master reset and tried the email for a day without any apps installed and the problem still exists. after informing Samsung of this they told me that I would have to send them the phone to be checked which I'm not going to do because I see other people having this same issue on other forums. I also have a friend that works for another company that is her having the exact same issue with his corporate email on the S6 Edge device.
does anyone know of a fix for this issue? I use this phone predominantly for work and to have this type of issue is a deal breaker for me. I have another week that I'm able to return the phone so I only have that amount of time to figure out a solution to this problem. I've owned Android phones since the first one came out so I'm very familiar with them but this is my first Samsung device and it could definitely be my last if there isn't a solution to this problem.
