Correct sd card format

I am having issues with a couple of my micro SD cards that I use for my tablets, etc. If I format a micro SD card for an Android device such as my Tab Pro, what file system should it be formatted to? (FAT32, exFAT, NTFS?)

Both FAT32, exFAT seemed to work OK in my Samsung 12.2 inch tablet.
