Corrupt sd card

A message that my SD card is corrupt popped up on my phone yesterday,. I've had this SD card for a very long time. I don't wanna lose the data on it. The phone says tap to fix. Will it erase the card ?

How do I get around this. I don't wanna lose what's on the card. And why would the card be working fine and all the sudden go bad ?

getting around it is probably getting a new card. as for getting stuff of it, you can try moving it to a computer with a full size sd adapter. anything more than that is beyond my knowledge.

You could try reseating the card in the phone. If you have another phone try putting it in there and see if it works ok. I wouldn't give up on that card without trying all options available.

I grabbed the stuff off it on my computer and reformatted it. But the phone still says it's corrupt. Is it the phone ?
