costco- going from bionic to razr

Hey guys,

I got the Droid Bionic with a 2 year agreement at Costco when it first came out. With their 90 day policy on phones, I was looking to switch my Bionic to the Razr. Since Costco doesn't offer insurance, I got my insurance at Verizon and I was wondering if I would be able to switch my insurance to the Razr because technically I am under the same contract. Thanks in advance.

I think you have 30 days from purchase to get insurance through Verizon. If you miss that window you have to wait for an open season, which don't come around often and aren't advertised...

But the RAZR will be a new device with a clean, never used history. His insurance would carry over.

I also purchased the Bionic when they came out at Costco, if it is truly 90 day return policy should I take 3 brand spanking new Bionic's back to Costco and get the new Razr? I also bought the insurance thru verizon for all phones.

I would try it. And yeah, you can get insurance for the RAZR. I cancelled the insurance from my plan over a week ago. When I was in the Verizon Store the other night to pre-order I was offered the option of insurance for the phone again.

did you take the bionic back? I bought in the store and was hoping to return to the store and get the razr within the 90 day time frame. however verizon says razr only online

I brought the bionic back to costco on the 29th day and went back to my old phone. Verizon credited me the upgrade (this was my 3rd bionic in the last month), but I did promise to come purchase as soon as the RAZR went into stores.

Im gonna be taking advantage of it. Why wouldnt I? Itd be stupid to not take advantage of it if I have the opportunity to switch to something better..

So one can return a phone to Costco within 30 days and exchange for another phone entirely? I ask because I was at Costco on Friday and asked the guy that question because I'm thinking about getting the Razr and then exchanging for the Galaxy Nexus if I don't like it. But the guy told me I could only return within 14 days. In case it matters, I would be a brand new customer on a new line (currently using my Nexus One on AT&T. Thanks!
