Was looking for info on how 2.2 Root was shaping and saw this thread on XDA. I am crossing my fingers for you.

Heh, just saw a post that they figured out how to root from leak so I guess you wouldn't need the OTA as much anymore.

They are dragging their ass about the froyo decision also. So its time to play the waiting game cause that method is wicked hard to pull off

This is great news... my wife's Eris has been stuck on the v3 leak. Needless to say, she is none too happy about it.
