Got HOX this week and so far I like it but it's hard to get used to Android coming from and an Iphone and Samsung focus(WP7) and I have a couple of questions that I cannot find an answer to.
1) On both the Iphone and the Focus the screen would wake up when a text message is received. The notification on the lock screen appears with my text sound like normal. Is there a setting that I'm missing to do the same?
2) In the text message app just the contact number is shown in the conversation window is there a way to fix this? My phone number has a different area code then where I currently live so I'm forced to add the " 1 " to make any calls or send a text.
3) My data connection works fine for the most part without any drops and there's 4G in my area (Ithaca,NY) but I don't think it's LTE (not sure if there's two different kinds). However, when the data connection does fluctuate it goes from 4G to EDGE skipping 3G when my old phone picked 3G up fine. Is it a carrier issue? Any ideas on how to remedy the issue?
4) I've read the threads about web links and HTML not showing up in E-Mail but I'm still not clear if this is an Android drawback or something I can fix via phone settings. I mostly use an AOL mail address and links and HTML showed up fine on my other phones
Sorry for the long winded post but I wanted to get as much out the way as I can in one post.
Thanks to all who help.
