I am sure there may be a thread on this somewhere but I am having trouble finding one. I cracked the screen of my G2, the screen still lights up and is fully legible but the phone will not recognize my touch. Without being able to select anything the Verizon store cannot recover my photos and such. So I am here to ask for advice on making the screen recognize my touch, in order for them to recover all of my things. If there is another way to pull everything off of the phone that would be great as well. I appreciate any advice, PLEASE HELP.

You need a USB OTG cable ($2 on eBay) and a standard USB mouse... Works like a charm.

Have you tried connecting to computer to recover files?

You won't lose anything by having the screen replaced (the whole LCD assembly needs to get replaced). The screen replacement service at a cell phone repair shop can cost from $100 - $165 (so shop around).
I had to change my wife's screen on her T-Mobile LG G2 phone and it cost me $125 to fix it at a local repair shop in Chicago.
