I managed to make a little chip with the metal loop from a seat belt fastener. Luckily it is only in the screen protector that is pre-installed. Although, I was surprised at how easily it got damaged.

Videos on Youtube show the screen itself is stronger but not really any stronger than previous versions. It's still glass.

I never cracked a screen even at shoulder height WITHOUT a case. My S7 edge. It feel flat on the display.

Hopefully no crack screens gets posted.
