Whether it be Netflix or YouTube, being the only video apps I've tested thus far, I'm getting pretty pixelated videos. Some videos worked fine and were HD quality but most have this grainy look to them. And Netflix definitely wasn't streaming 1080p. Also, I have more than suitable WiFi at home for streaming full HD.

There have been some defective units out there.....
Unfortunately,. sounds like you got one.
I have Comcast's 15Mb/s tier and everything looks fantastic.

Well that's not what I wanted to hear. Lol
I don't see why that wouldn't be a software issue though...

End of Watch is where I first noticed it on netflix. Just watched a few more minutes of it and it was still pixelated. Searched some YouTube videos to link but they all seemed fine...maybe I'll just give it a whole day to settle and try again tomorrow.

What you should do is test out 1080p content on YouTube. I watched some Planet Earth and the quality was amazing. And then I went back to Netflix and it wasn't all that great.

Now I do have some light leakage at the top of the screen. It's not terrible, but definitely noticeable on a dark screen. Is it worth the hassle to exchange it or will they all have some sort of leakage?

Just watched some planet earth and it really didn't seem to be 1080p. And the frame rate seemed pretty low since it was stuttering ever so slightly. But definitely noticeable. I'm not sure if there's something wrong or if I should let the device settle in first, but so far I'm not impressed.

Side note, had it for only 8 hours so far.

It might be your internet connection. Otherwise definitely switch it out. I had no stuttering whatsoever.

Do you have any slight light leakage at the top or corners? I just want to make sure that's normal.

Definitely not my WiFi connection. Its a 35mbps connection and never had troubles with anything else.

As for the leakage, I don't see anything wrong with that.

Mine seems pretty crisp with Netflix and YouTube

That one seemed to do better. Over time the videos seem to be getting better. Even Netflix. Maybe my eyes are also just spoiled by my 480ppi HTC one...

Its definitely not 1080p right? I'm gonna test it again later today after its been sitting for a while.
