Crash reboots.

I'm currently using a Samsung J1 phone. You see, I have a problem. Everytime I turn on Wi-Fi, every now and then, the phone would go "brrrrrrrrrr", then reboot. This doesn't happen when I use mobile data. I don't understand this problem, and it's gotten worse. Every five minutes of the last reboot with the Wi-Fi on, it would crash-reboot again. What is the cause of this?

I haven't tried Safe Mode. But to make it clear, it's a pretty common, but annoying problem. The phone freezes, then any sound that plays would go "Grrrrrrrrrr", then reboot. That's what bothers me.

If by "common" you mean frequent, then Safe Mode is definitely worth a try. Or do you mean that it's a widespread problem that other people report?

Other people complained about it. It happened with our compluter years ago. Now, it affects the phone I am using every time Wi-Fi is on.

How old is your phone? Do other people using your WiFi have the same issue?

I'd have to guess a hardware problem with the wi-fi radio and/or the motherboard. The J1 is a 6 year old phone, so I wouldn't be surprised if something was starting to fail. Since it's way out of warranty, and you presumably didn't buy any insurance for it, it's probably best to move on and upgrade to a more current phone. Sorry!
