So my X works great on WiFi at home.
At my office....not so much. Here's my issue.
I have 4 Win7 Pro 64bit machines at my office on a peer-to-peer network. They are connected through an older Linksys 8 port cable router. On top of that router sits a Linksys (GS54 I think) wireless router configured as a wireless access point. I set it up this way so I could connect my iPhone to my cable connection at work. It worked flawlessly.
I have WPA security enabled and SSID broadcast set to off - so I have to manually enter the info on any wireless device to get on it.
Like I said it worked fine with my iPhone. With my Droid X - every single time I connect to it - it completely kills my internet connection and I must reboot my cable modem and router to get it back. I ran over to my office today and spent a couple hours testing it and it is totally repeatable and does it every time my X connects - BAM! - no internet.
I checked for ip conflicts - my PC's are 192.168.1.100, 101, 102, 103, 104 (there's also a network laser printer/scanner/fax machine) - the X shows as 192.168.1.105 - so no conflict there.
I'm totally stumped as to why - and HOW - my X is killing off my internet there when it connects.
Here at home I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless cable router (with wireless turned off) and a Buffalo Wireless access point running the wireless upstairs so we can get wifi in our back yard. No issues whatsoever.
I'm sure it must be something with my router or wireless router configuration that's causing this issue at my office - but I'm stumped as to what it could be.
Any ideas out there? Anyone else experienced a similar issue?
Thanks.
