creating photo albums

I am trying to move my pictures from /emmc/DCIM/100MEDIA to a folder I created on my sd card at /sdcard/photos. I am using Astro File Manager. When I select the pics to move, I then navigate to the sd card folder but when I click on 'Paste' the pics are not moved...nothing happens. Any thoughts?

I haven't been able to successfully use the "move" command in Astro. I've tried to do exactly what you have asked and it doesn't seem to work. I recommend you connect your phone to your computer and to the photo organization through Windows Explorer (Microsoft) or Finder (Mac OS X) by accessing the phone as a removable drive.

This whole thread actually really passes me off.....the thought that such a common and easy task on a BB is this hard on android is super fustrating. I am really not very impressed when it comes to certain file management within the phone.....with BB I felt that being phone guy was enough now with android I feel I have to be a phone guy and a computer guy.....its really disapointing .

I'm right there with you. Google being a software company I would have expected a good "ecosystem" to sync my phone with my computer for all it's components (apps, music, photos, videos, etc). They simply omitted Mac//Linux/Unix and for Windows the software is not that good. Although I'm very familiar with computers and filesystems it is a bit frustrating to go through these loopholes for such a simple task as photo management.
