Does anyone know of a decent credit card reader for the Epic. I tried Intuit's Gopayment solution, which is an audio jack device. They say it's compatible with my Epic4g, and I've tried two devices and reinstalled the software, but to no avail. I know the audio jack works with my headset mic.

I got one from Square but haven't tried it yet so i couldnt tell you if it works.

Both Square and Intuit work, but for Intuit's to work you need to modify it so it seats into the jack properly. I did so by cutting off that funky curve and some of the plastic around the plug. To get that curve part off, I scored it with a knife then snapped it off with pliars. It's not elegant but it works.

Yes, I cut that plastic off mine too, but I couldn't get it to work until I installed Voodoo sound which finally gave me enough mic volume. Mic sensitivity has to apparently be quite high for the reader to talk to the phone.

Ah yeah I've had Voodoo for so long I forgot about it. The reader says to turn up the volume right on the side of it, so it makes sense that Voodoo helps.

Square works awesome as long as you have a GPS connection. Sends receipts via email, and saves them for future use per client. You can also type the card # for transactions as well. I think Square is a great app.
