Cruise lines now banning Note 7

To be clear they are banning the NON REPLACED/RECALLED Note 7s. Not ALL Note 7s. Those of us that exchanged and have the green icon should be perfectly fine according to the sign.

For now anyway ...

I love the Note 7. I just think with the new fire on the plane that things are not going to get any easier for those who love these phones.

I don't see a big deal here. Just get a replacement and you would be fine.

This is such a mindless knee-jerk reaction. These cruise lines want everyone to turn off their phones, as if that's going to prevent a faulty battery from catching fire. And yet the phone on the Southwest flight was powered off at the time it went up. If a bad battery is going to go up, it's going to go up, regardless of the state of the power switch. :-!

As From a Buick 8 said, for now. Things change - we could eventually (in a few years, when the Note 7 battery thing happens across many manufacturers for a while) see a blanket ban on cellphones anywhere a burning phone could damage the ship/plane/store owner's property.

on the bright side this could result in a parody movie called Notes on A Plane.

It's just their way of being safe. Prevention is better than the cure. But the New note 7 with green battery icon are good to go.

Still trying to figure out how they can tell what type of phone tou have. They all look alike.
