CSC Change?

What would happen if i changed my CSC (Sales Code) From TMU to something like EUR. Would I then receive jelly bean? How safe is this as well?

Is it really just that simple, changing the CSC (with factory wipe) in order to get JB now? If it is, myself and a few thousand of my i9300-owning friends will probably do that instead of waiting for our versions to show up!

Or just install it through Odin, that way you get the official version but no network bloatware and your phone isn't rooted. You may lose carrier billing in the play store though.

Or just install it through Kies (after CSC change), that way you get the official version, no network bloatware, your phone isn't rooted, and you don't have to mess with Odin.

I went to change the csc but nothing was listed apart from TMU
And no Tmobile UK still haven't released JB yet. Starting to loose faith in them. I keep getting Texts saying that i should upgrade to the 4g S3 For ?99.
But i am not willing to do that

id be tempted tbh mate. not so much for the 4g but it has 2gb ram

Problem is it would take away unlimited data and replace it with 500mb a month. Not really prepared to do that

I went ahead and flashed the stock firmware on it. Jelly Bean is now on my s3

Hi I really need your help I recently purchased an unlocked galaxy s3 from Hong Kong to Australia and I'm trying to update it to jellybean but it says no update available this is my version info

Cp: i9300xxlfb
Csc:i9300ojvblf3

I was wondering if I changed my Csc to the Australia one will I be able to update my phone and will this cause any problems eg bricking your phone ? Please reply I'm desperate oh btw the jelly bean update arrived in Australia ages ago

Root your phone and u shloud be OK... Modifying your CSC isn't a good idea... If u really wanna do it try CSC Changer (App available at Play Store)....

Hi. I hope you or somebody can help me. I don't understand any of this, but here's my sitch. I have an S3 from the UK and I am now in the US. I thought that first I needed to change my IMEI, but then did another search, and saw ''change the region'', so, maybe that is what I need to do? and there was stuff about CSC change, which lead me here. I paid ?500 for this phone, and I ain't getting a new one any time soon. How do I get to use my phone on US networks, there's gotta be a way. Thanks in advance.
