I think I will weigh in.
I stick to this forum mainly. I have a severe dislike for social media, in fact I am thinking of ways to get myself banned from Facebook. So I don't even use those. I mainly use AC and I go to XDA for downloads of ROMs, kernels, recoveries, etc. I saw the excessive bashing of new users on XDA and knew it wasn't for me.
I used to be on Yahoo Answers...but that got old really quick. I was a top poster there for a short while, but earning it is tough and keeping it is even tougher.
As for the Samsung devices...there are a lot. Especially since there are some devices that don't leave a region of the world.
im thinking similar. but wen im up to it i need help with picasa and gmail. i got totally lost in their forums, but i did here too lol. il prob try here first.
needing to work out how to do stuff never really stops - but then my love for learning never stops either

I typically don't use Picasa, but I don't really take pictures either. The Photography forums on AC may have someone who can help.
I hardly use Gmail, but that is because I want an Email service that doesn't get spammed 600 times a day....
I have two gmail accts. One I use specifically for sign ups for PayPal, Netflix, Amazon etc. And my personal email for ONLY close friends and family members. (They all know not to send me chain mail, jokes or forwarded mail of any kind.) I haven't received one piece of spam in this acct for over 6 years. I only receive a few pieces a month in the other acct and they always end up straight into my spam folder so I never have to see them until I empty the folder every couple weeks.
I have a Hotmail acct I've used for over 10 years for off the wall stuff where sites may need an email address, the occasional contest, supermarket rewards acts, etc. That one gets all the spam, but that's what it's set up for.
Point is, you CAN use Gmail without getting a crap load of spam if you use it wisely.
