Curse the delicate, curved screen

Thanks to Samsung's brilliant idea to make an impossible-to-install-a-standard-glass-screen-protector-slightly-curved-screen I've been going naked since day 1. Tried a couple film protectors and they either didn't stick or scratched just looking at it. And now I have an half inch long horizontal scratch across the upper middle of my screen. Luckily it's only really visible when direct sunlight hits it but it doesn't give me hope of lasting 2 years.

No idea how it happened either. The phone is in a case with a lip along the front, dedicated front pocket, haven't been to a beach, and I work in an office. If it's not in my pocket it's on a counter top. My M8 made it over two years with a cheap glass protector and no scratches.

I love this phone but it seems that it's much easier to scratch than any device I've owned (Pre, iPod Touch, HTC One X, and an M8). Do yourself a favor and put something on the screen even if it's a crappy plastic film you have to replace every month.

Make it so.

Sorry to hear it. My zagg screen protector works... But edges pop up with the case. Still better than nothing

I don't know how hard you're looking. I've had mines since March 12th and also went naked, then I got a small crack in my screen and decided it was time to look again and they do have protectors that actually fit the curved edges.

Let's be honest, we both could have purchased protectors that didn't fit but still would have protected the device, we both decided not to, can't blame anyone but ourselves. Thankfully my screen is not damaged in terms of responsiveness, and you can't even see the crack unless you're looking, can't see it at all when the screen is on. But I can verify these protectors only cost $13 with shipping included and provide excellent protection and DO cover the S7 edge to edge including the curve

Got the ishieldz one, cover edge to edge, only thing, since I have two young kids, phone in a case, spigen slim armor, push the edge now clicking sound as protector is raised a bit. Tried to shave the protector but "damage" is done, have to press on protector to have a responsive screen so will have to find a new screen, amfilm look good and price is right but not shipping in Canada... got a new case vrs high pro shield, doesn't look to push edge of screen protector, eBay will be my friend . Any recommendations?

To the OP, I have had issues with the button on my shirt pocket causing a scratch on various phones I've used over the years. I couldn't figure out how I was getting a scratch in the same area repeatedly but one day happened to have that "light bulb" moment and since then have just removed the button since the phone goes there anyway. Ruined a lot of screen protectors in the meantime.

As far as installing a glass protector, is the screen curved on the edges or is it like the LG G4 where is curves very slightly vertically? I know the Note 4 that I use curves at the edges so the screen protector doesn't go all the way to the edge.

Thanks for the replies, I was just incredibly frustrated with the situation. And yes the S7 has a slight curve on the left and right edges making standard protectors a pain to adhere.

I just took delivery and installed a version 2 of the Zagg knockoff full screen protector and so far so good. I got a few micro particles during the install but because it adheres along the perimeter I'm not risking pulling it off to reset.

This is the one I purchased

Only thing, minor for me, cut out for earpiece and camera slightly off but does not interfere with the usage of the phone

That looks like the same screen protector as mine but different branding. So far no sensitivity issues like people reported with the Zagg. Only issue is my Spigen Rough Armor case doesn't work with it and the edges collect dust and lint like crazy.

Make it so.
