custom navigation bar

Hey recently purchased the exynos variant of the S8+ (955f).
Loving the phone so far but for some reason I cant seem to change the navigation bar color. Dunno if the issue is related to my variant.

What I mean by that is that I cant set a custom color nor change the opacity level of the current ones.

I think ever since the update that introduced immersive mode for hiding the navbar there have been some limitations/issues with the functionality of the customization options for the navbar. I believe I read that in one of the other threads that has to do with that update. I personally didn't get the update yet (Verizon) so I can't tell for sure, but I have no problems with my current version.

Confirmed. The immersive mode update restricts color options for the nav bar unfortunately =/
They said it was for burn in prevention (i kinda doubt it but the color didn't show quite often enough to be something worthwhile imo)

You can use an app on the playstore called "Navbar Apps" No root needed.

Thanks for the replies. Funny thing is I just wanted to have a Black Navigation bar to help preserve battery life.
