Custom Note 20 font with Android Messages.

So on my Note 20 Ultra, I have my custom font. I also choose to use Android Messages as my default messaging app.

Well, Android Measages updated recently and uses a different font, and maybe I just didn't pay attention before. But now, I notice it. But my phone's general font settings won't override Android Messages.

Is there anything I can do here or no?

I'm in the same boat. But I'm not too bothered since I barely use regular text messaging anymore. Google already did this with the Gmail app, but it's annoying nonetheless.
