Custom Notification/Ringtone sounds for apps in Secure Folder?

I've put .mp3's for custom sounds in the Notifications and Ringtones folder, and the apps on my phone can see them. No problem.

But... apps in Secure Folder can not see them.

So I can only guess(?) that apps in the secure folder are looking elsewhere?

What is the actual path to the sounds that apps in the Secure Folder can see? Or how do you get around this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You should go to My files app which is Samsung file manager and make sure your custom ringtones are in those folder there

Try moving (saving) your mp3s to a (new) folder inside Secure Folder. After moving them there open Secure Folder and save each tone to whatever app notification you chose.

Thank you.

That's what I had done. I used the Samsung File manager inside Secure Folder to move the file from the Downloads folder to the Notifications folder. The file is there. (It is definitely a different Notifications folder than when you use the File manager outside Secure folder, because the one outside Secure folder has multiple files.)

Still... the apps inside Secure Folder cannot see the file in the secure folder called Notifications.

What might be helpful is to know the location of where the default system notification sounds reside; it's somewhere other than the Notifications folder, both for inside and outside secure folder... Any idea where those are stored?

Have you tried My Files in the phone internal storage not secure folder ?

Thank you. I need a little more explanation, please... :-)
The file is inside a folder accessed by a file manager when inside secure folder. How do I "save each tone to whatever app notification" I chose. The apps inside secure folder still do not see the file...?

yes, when I browse to the Notifications file, there are different .mp3's that I've put there. The My Files app exists both inside and outside of Secure Folder by default. (It's the Samsung My Files app.)

No, I don't see it there because I didn't put it there. I did put some other sound files there though and I do see them. The other sound files that I did put there are not visible to apps in secure folder either.
However apps outside of secure folder can see them.

Try putting it there - Media Scan probably doesn't see anything in the secure folder. (All apps should be looking at the media scanner's database for alarms, notifications and ringtones.)

ah, i see someone else is trying to get a resolution for the same issue i am having.
i hav a Samsung A71, running Android 10 One UI 2.5

and i have tried all what the OP has tried with no resolve. i have tried copying the notification sounds, it shows in My Files in secure folder but when you go to set a specific notification sound, you dont get the option to pick a custom sound, like how it would be outside of secure folder.

if you guys find a work around, i will be here for it,

UPDATE***

AFTER READING THE RESOSES IN THIS THREAD, I THINK I GOT IT TO WORK FOR ME.

so what i originally did was jus copy my notifications folder from outside secure folder to within, i just noticed there was another folder called notification, so i went and copied my sounds to that notification folder

so when inside secure folder, go to "my files" - "internal storage" - "notifications" (put the sounds in that folder and you should get the option when you now go to sound, for notifications, the other sounds should show up)
