So for years I've been using saved ringtones and notification alerts that I've acquired over the years. But for the life of me, I cant remember how to get them to work. I wasnt sure if this is a limitation on the Note10 with the new Pie OS or is it my user error and ignorance?

Any help is appreciated!

Notification tones are in the notification folder; ringtones are in the ringtone folder.
To change notification sounds go to each app and change it. For example, in Messages go to 3 dots (upper right), settings, notifications, general notifications, then sound. To edit by individual person, open a chat with that person, 3 dots (upper right), custom notifications, then sound.
For ringtones, it is harder to find how to do individual ringtones. Open contacts, go to individual, edit, scroll all the way down to view more, then scroll down to ringtone and then change it.

That's what I did, but I dont see my audio files in those folders. J forget how to place them in the respective folders from my sd card. I must not have gotten enough sleep last night.

I figured it out. The search function on this device (and probably any other one) really helped once I knew which files I was looking for!
